nah, never heard of them, as far as i know i live in southwest virginia, don't just go out in coeburn every day and see some bloods and crips havin a shootout..

so you're saying if you was to get in a fight with somebody it would result in a barfight slim thug??

nah man i was talking about how justafan wants to fight eminem and i am sure he could kick eminems ass like he said(lol) and i am just saying that if you went to a city and got in a fight then guns would be brought out...not like here in the country where every fight is a barfight abd that means fist to fist

okay now so we are saying it is okay for rappers like 50 cent to glorify the "thug life" image and try to sell it but it isn't okay for Gretchen Wilson to "glorify" the redneck image. Bill Cosby came out a few years ago and gave a speech to the NAACP about his opinion on african american influence today and really spoke his mind. Saying the only way for African Americans to get back on the right track is to 1.) quit thinking america owes them something, and 2.) cut out the thug image, because it is giving a very bad stereotype for the rest of america. 3.) stay in school and give back to the community.

Do you honestly consider someone like 50 cent or Tupac to be an influence in your life? They had a hard life growing up, they continued the cycle by rapping about violence, and my guess is 50 cent will end up the same way Tupac did. Instead of taking what they learned in life and atleast making an effort to change they instead influnece highschoolers in southwest virginia to be "thuged out". its kind of hard for someone from this neck of the woods to really "get" what these rappers are trying to say. However we can understand what Gretchen Wilson is saying because we see it everyday in southwest virginia.

I really like gretchen wilson, she seems real, people are gonna get drunk, and get wild, you can't shelter yourself from this, you have to be mature enough to understand the consequences, and if you arent mature enough then you need parents to step in and lead the way.

Just to clarify, I actually dont wont to fight Eminem, although I do feel I could kick his ass, lol. Is it me, or does oakland_raiders have a thing for Eminem. Rap sucks.

so you ar esaying that you wont see people being killed or drugs being sold in a city...i mean come on what do you have to shelter your kids from about gretchen...is it the redneckness, the four wheel riding, or maybe the skoal diping...and yes i do have a thing for eminem cause 50 and em are my favorite rappers and personally i think it is amazing to me how they people come from practically nothing to being able to buy or have anything they want and another thing i would rather listen to people that actually write their own words to their music
